ACIP's 40th Annual Symposium
Symposium Gala

Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 – 6pm-8pm

This year’s Symposium Gala will be held at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in historic Old Town Alexandria. Located along the Potomac River waterfront, the Torpedo Factory was originally built in 1918 as the U.S. Naval Torpedo station. During World War II, the facility produced torpedoes for use by the U.S. Navy, including the Mark XIV submarine-borne torpedo and the Mark III aircraft-borne torpedo. Since 1974, the Torpedo Factory has become one of Washington, DC’s preeminent resources for promoting local artists and their works. Attracting over half a million visitors each year, the Torpedo Factory currently hosts over 160 professional artists who work, exhibit, and sell their art within the 82 artists’ studios, six galleries, and two workshops located within the building. Art classes are also held onsite for students through The Art League School.
